IN THIS ISSUE
Last weeks' trip to the State capitol didn't produce anything outstanding. There wasn't anytime in the Senator's or Representative's schedule to discuss certain bills headed for committee. However, Rep. Adams did make 3 minutes available, on the House floor, for a photo op... :-/
hehehehe...but I did get his home phone number!
:D They've not seen the last of me--and they haven't even met John, yet.
((Condolences can be sent to Representative Royce Adams and Senator Fred Bradley via our email address. [grin]))
I was planning on getting out to the capitol again tomorrow and Thursday with John, but Tuesday's schedule is blitzed. Thursday, John may be speaking at the AgrAbility "Brag N Steal" in conjunction with the National Farm Machinery Show, and he's being interviewed by a nurse for a research project, and he has an appointment with his neurologist that same afternoon--Thursday is pretty much booked!
MEDICAL MOVIE MADNESS
One thing that is an irritation to John is when families with a medical crisis are not portrayed in financial straits (the "norm" rather than the exception.) They have unlimited income, high paying jobs, perfect cars, people setting up trust funds for them and their children. I don't remember seeing a film about dealing with medical crisis that showed people loosing their homes, being put out on the street, having the car repossessed, not having the money for medication, having to fight for disability checks or not eating on the last day of the month because the food stamps ran out. "I didn't lose my hand and my leg," says John, "because I was run over by a millionaire limo. In other words, no settlement."
What, no email about COURAGE? Well, maybe you weren't sure what to say. Guess I'll be writing something about that for next week, as I didn't get a chance to this week.
In the snail mail we received mail about a new web site you may want to investigate.
RGP Prosthetic Research Center (The "PREDATOR's" prosthetist [grin]) is constructing a web page. In other words it may not be complete yet, but is targeted to go online today.
(The address is no longer functioning.)

THE ADVICE (DISCLAIMER)
Please be sure to read the information at this link at least once.
When you have spare keys made, you might want to ask for the duplicate to be made on a blank with a large grasping end. Alternately, thin metal picture frame edging can be crimped on or apoxied to the key blank. Also, the larger blanks have enough area to allow a large hole to be drilled enabling one of the hook fingers to get a better grasp.
Roll on silicon liners can be easily install be first reversing the liner and sprinkling with talcum powder, or use a misting bottle filled with a solution of water and a small amount of rubbing alcohol. (Check with you prosthetist first.)

"To endure is greater than to dare; to tire out hostile fortune; to be daunted by no difficulty; to keep heart when all have lost it; to go through intrigue spotless; to forego even ambition when the end is gained--who can say this is not greatness?"

believe)
