1.) NOTES FROM John & Joyce
We've had a hectic week. Sorry for the lateness of this weeks newsletter. We've been thinking of ya'll. :)
Just a reminder, check out our F.A.Q. page for more information.
2.) "LETTERS TO THE EDITOR"
Hello John and Joyce! (9/12/95)
Thank you for conducting a great meeting last night. I found the chat to be very helpful, informative, and encouraging. Thanks! :)
When you get the Chat Log together from last night's meeting, I would like a copy.
Do you know about Dave Dravecky (the former San Francisco Giants pitcher who lost his pitching arm to cancer - forequarter amputation)? He lives here in Colorado Springs now and has an outreach to cancer victims and amputees. I met with him in his office recently. We had a great time together! It was so good for me to meet another forequarter and share experiences. Sometimes I feel that I'm all alone in this big world. That is why I enjoy getting together with other amputees here online. We find out that we aren't alone.
Keep up the great work that you do here! I know it is time-consuming for you, but it is appreciated!
Have a great day!
G.

4.) HINTS AND TIPS
TIPS
You may have heard of, by way of chats or email or message boards, about a mailing list available through the Internet called O and P. It is mostly technical information but it is very interesting reading and may keep you informed and updated about the most current developments.
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Listserver is a free service sponsored by the Orthopaedic, and Orthotics and Prosthetics Departments of Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, USA.
This list is to be used for the discussion of clinical and research topics in orthotics and prosthetics. This list is open to orthotists, prosthetists, researchers, physicians, therapists, and all others with an interest in the orthotic and prosthetic field from anywhere in the world.
Have a hint, tip, or suggestion? Please email us and we will consider it for use in the newsletter or chat room.
5.) QUOTE/THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
